The HA allows customized group lists to facilitate the download of data and analysis of specific symbols.  To create a user-defined Group List, do the following

Open NOTEPAD

After NOTEPAD is open, type symbols one line at a time:

GE

$INDU

$SPX

MSFT

After typing the desired symbols, first save the NOTEPAD file in your hadata folder.  This will save the typed list for future editing.  Like this:

C://DocumentsandSettings/Username/hadata/GroupList1

Then, resave the list in the hadata folder as a Group File by adding a .grp at the end of the file name.  LikeThis:

C://DocumentsandSettings/Username/hadata/GroupList1.grp

This will save the list of symbols as a Group File that can be utilized to download data and analyze.  To edit the saved list, simply open the text file that was originally saved, edit the symbols and resave as a .grp file.

To access the group l;list, open the Data Downloader or the HA Scan and select the group name from the menu.
